Beef and Lamb reared from a co-operative of farmers in Merthyr
Tydfil and Rhymney. A wide selection of different cuts of meat and
orders are taken.
Five farming families make up the Cig Mynydd Cymru partnership.
They are Mike and Cath Roberts from Penrhiwgwaith; Sue Williams and
her family from Garth Farm; Lorraine Howells from Cwm Carno; Huw
Williams and his mother-in-law, Pat Wigley, from Glynmil / Cwm
Blacks and the organic farmers John and Celia Thomas from
Cooked burgers are availble to eat and takeaway at the market
Cig Mynydd Cymru is based at 16B Perrott St in Treharris. The
butcher's shop was purchased in Oct 2006 when the partnership was
formed. The shop is managed by Steve Davies with his able assistant
John Newman. We sell a full range of meat products but specialise
in the butchering of Welsh Black beef from cattle raised on the
members' farms & South Wales Mountain lambs.
